The Willow Springs School District has announced the appointment of Jacob Brookshire as the district’s new head football coach, effective July 1, 2026.
Brookshire currently serves the district as Physical Education/Weight Room Coordinator and Defensive Coordinator. Brookshire brings more than two decades of experience to the head coaching position. His background includes previous coaching and leadership roles at Houston High School, Cabool High School, Ava High School, and an earlier tenure with Willow Springs Schools. He served as Head Football Coach at Cabool High School from 2012–2016 and was named SCA Co-Coach of the Year in 2014. He also held the position of Athletic Director at Cabool from 2016–2018.
Brookshire earned a Bachelor of Science in Education from Missouri State University, with certifications in K–12 Health and K–12 Physical Education, and completed a Master of Education at William Woods University. He also played football at Missouri Valley College.
“I’m honored for the opportunity to lead the Willow Springs football program,” Brookshire said. “This community means a great deal to me, and I’m excited to continue building a program that develops strong character, accountability, and Bear Pride on and off the field.”
Brookshire will assume head coaching duties following the conclusion of the 2025–2026 school year.
