Dear Parents and Guardians,
We want to make you aware of changes that may affect some of our families next month.
What’s happening
Because of the federal government shutdown, the State of Missouri has announced it will not issue November 2025 SNAP (food stamp) benefits. Families who rely on SNAP should prepare accordingly and consider local resources for support.
What this means for families
SNAP benefits
November benefits suspended: Missouri will not issue November 2025 SNAP benefits.
Who’s affected: This may impact many Missouri households. The Missouri Department of Social Services (DSS) advises families to stretch current benefits and visit local food banks if needed.
Applications still processed: DSS will continue to accept and process SNAP applications, reported changes, and mid-certifications as usual.
