New to the High School this semester is the High School Advisory Council. The group is made up of 4 Juniors (Mason Owens, Nolan Perkins, Maddie Poor and Emma Spence) and 4 Sophomores (Nicole Barnet, Sophia Barrett, Jackson Lee and Logan Mullins). This group will advise Mr. Forrest and Mr. Schmitt on things happening in the High School from a student perspective. The goal is to have good communication with students to improve our school.
The first Advisory Council meeting was held on January 12. Topics discussed were weighted grades, Bear Time, and elective classes. The dialogue was good and we hope to cultivate new ideas through these meetings. Students, be sure to share your thoughts and ideas with advisory council members.
