WILLOW SPRINGS, Mo. - The Willow Springs R-IV School District has partnered with L & V Premium Meats out of Mountain Grove, Missouri to provide the school with fresh local beef for the 2023-24 school year.

All beef received from L & V will go to a USDA processing plant and then moved on to the school.

The Willow Springs School District will also continue the Mo Beef Program that connects schools and their food service professionals to cattle farmers and ranchers to “beef” up school lunches. The Willow Springs School District encourages anyone that would like to make a beef donation to the school to contact Regina Roberts or Jenny Poor.

“It is so important to our community and farmers to purchase good quality local meat,” said Food Service Director Regina Roberts. “The students at Willow Springs School will reap the benefits from the fresh beef. It is loaded with vitamin B12 which boosts the immune system, aids the digestive system and riboflavin which promotes healthy skin and eyes.”
