The Middle School Staff Member of the Week is Nikki Jackson!✨ Nikki has been a para at Willow for 2.5 years. She pushes in to 6/7 grade social studies, assists Mrs. Cook with special education classes, assists with Adaptive PE and anywhere else she might be needed. "When not at school, I enjoy watching Chiefs football with my son Mookie, cheering on the WS Bears football teams, card games/trivia, living room dance parties, and going on adventures with my 3 kids." Willow Springs High School student leaders and staff talked with 8th grade students from rural K-8 schools yesterday at the Rural School K-8 High School Fair hosted by Glenwood R-8 Mustangs! The Rural School K-8 High School Fair is an opportunity for high schools in the area to meet with 8th graders from a rural K-8 school and share the opportunities that their school has to offer. #OneWillow

The Willow Springs School District bus fleet passed the Missouri State Highway Patrol School Bus Safety Inspection with an approval rating of 100%! This marks the 29th consecutive year that Willow Springs has scored a perfect bus safety inspection rating! We are very proud of the district's Department of Transportation staff who work so diligently to safely transport our students. #OneWillow

The Elementary and Middle School buildings will be hosting books fairs next week, February 26th - March 1st! Students can shop during the school day all week long. Several Willow Springs High School students recently toured Southern Missouri Technical Institute and Willow's Innovation Hall to learn about programs and opportunities that are offered in career and technical education! #OneWillow

Over the month of January, students in the Willow Springs School District participated in the Fields of Dreams Uganda SCA Change for Change Challenge. Our students raised a grand total of $1,800 and are the winners of the SCA Challenge! The funds will support the Fields of Dreams Uganda Ekisa Scholarship Fund, which provides scholarships to students at partner schools in Uganda. Willow students will have the opportunity to connect with students at St. Kizito Primary School via Zoom calls, letter writing, and encouragement through cultural exchange opportunities. The P6 & P7 students of St. Kizito were proud to wave the Willow Springs Bears flag!🐻 #OneWillow

The 4th/5th grade Willow Lady Bears basketball team won the championship at the Liberty Winter Shootout this past weekend and qualified for State in March! #OneWillow
